Dairy Producers Receive National ‘MBA’ Training (Lancaster Farming, Jan. 27, ’07). “The Center for Dairy Excellence provided four scholarships to Pennsylvania dairy producers to attend the Dairy Managers’ Academy last month in Sacramento, Calif. Attendees gained a broader perspective of the industry and developed stronger business skills to implement on their dairy operations. . . . Scholarship recipients were Logan Bower, Blain, Walt and Ellen Moore, Chatham; and Matt Wanner, Narvon. Bower has participated in the event three times, while Wanner and the Moores were first-time participants.”

Stakeholders Reorganize Board of Directors (Lancaster Farming, Dec. 16, ’06). New officers and directors elected at the December meeting of the Pennsylvania Dairy Stakeholders Board of Directors included PDMP associate member Allyn Lamb (AgChoice Farm Credit), producer member Janice Burkholder (Burk-Lea Farms), associate member Kirk Sattazahn (Select Sire Power), and producer member Matt Wanner (Wanner’s Pride-N-Joy Farm). Additional Stakeholders board members include PDMP associate member Chuck Cruickshank (Land O’Lakes, Inc.). Producer member Clifford Hawbaker (Hamilton Heights Dairy Farm) completed his term as a board member.
