Q - What
is the difference between Professional Dairy Managers of Pennsylvania,
Dairy Stakeholders, and Dairy Alliance?
A - Professional
Dairy Managers of Pennsylvania (PDMP) is a membership organization
for progressive producers. Its mission is to promote the
well being of its businesses, families, and communities.
PDMP offers educational and networking opportunities with
other producers and leaders in the dairy industry. Working
together, the members serve as an influential voice for
Pennsylvania's dairy industry.
The Pennsylvania Dairy
Stakeholders is an organization that brings together all
segments of the Pennsylvania dairy industry. Its mission
is to facilitate the viability and expansion of the dairy
industry in Pennsylvania. With all aspects of the industry
involved-producers, service and suppliers, marketers, processors,
educators and regulators-the Pennsylvania Dairy Stakeholders
can identify and influence common opportunities across the
entire industry, and in doing so enhance and support other
entities like PDMP, Cooperative Extension, and Dairy Alliance.
Dairy Alliance is a component
of ongoing extension programs. Our mission is to enhance
the economic development of the Pennsylvania dairy industry
through leadership and focused educational efforts. The
Dairy Alliance assists individual farms and producers in
dealing with issues that relate to information technology,
human resources, and business management. In turn, these
efforts impact the economic viability and quality of life
for dairy producers throughout Pennsylvania.

A - Each group
has a specific purpose and mission of its own. In many ways,
